;Verse of the Day
“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
Romans 8:18 (KJV)
Difficult seasons can make time feel slow. A painful week may feel like a month. A long night can seem as though morning will never come. When you are carrying disappointment, loss, pressure, weakness, or uncertainty, it is easy to think that the present moment will last forever.
The Bible gives us a different perspective in . Paul spoke from experience because he had experienced hardship himself. Yet he says that the sufferings of this present time cannot be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us.
The phrase “this present time” matters. It reminds you that suffering has a limit. It belongs to the present age, not to eternity. No matter how difficult the season feels, it is not the final chapter. God has promised something beyond it.
A dark night may feel endless while you are in it, but the night still has an end. Morning comes. In the same way, suffering is not permanent for those who belong to Christ. A season of glory awaits.
In , Paul describes present troubles as light and momentary when compared with the eternal glory they are producing.

Are you going through a tough season? Don't let your natural feelings define how you approach this season. The night will soon be over and joy is coming with the morning.

The suffering is temporary. The glory is eternal.
This truth should help you endure without losing hope. You may not understand why a difficult season has been allowed. You may not see what God is doing beneath the surface. But you can be assured that your pain is not for nothing and your future is not controlled by your present circumstances.
Keep your eyes on what is eternal. The pain is real, but it is not greater than the promise. The night may be long, but it is not everlasting. The glory ahead cannot be measured against what you are carrying now.

“[14] So Abraham got up early the next morning, prepared food and a container of water, and strapped them on Hagar’s shoulders. Then he sent her away with their son, and she wandered aimlessly in the wilderness of Beersheba. [15] When the water was gone, she put the boy in the shade of a bush. [16] Then she went and sat down by herself about a hundred yards away. “I don’t want to watch the boy die,” she said, as she burst into tears. [17] But God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven, “Hagar, what’s wrong? Do not be afraid! God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. [18] Go to him and comfort him, for I will make a great nation from his descendants.” [19] Then God opened Hagar’s eyes, and she saw a well full of water. She quickly filled her water container and gave the boy a drink.”Genesis 21:14-19 (NLT)
