2 Corinthians 5:17Verse of the Day
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
The resurrection of Jesus changed everything.
Through His death, burial, and resurrection, the barrier between God and us was removed. What once separated us has been taken away. We now have access to the Father.
Just as Jesus died and rose again, something happened to us. We died to sin, and we are now alive in Him. This is a new life, not an improved version of the old one. The old is gone. The new has come.
Many still live as though nothing has changed—held back by guilt, old habits, or past identity. But that’s not who you are anymore. You’ve been given a new identity, a new nature, a new beginning.
You have to be conscious of it.
Live with the awareness that you are no longer bound by your past. Live knowing you have access to God. Live like someone who has been made new.
This is the life you’ve been given. Walk in it.
Are there areas where you’re still holding on to your old life or identity? Ask God to help you fully embrace the new life you have in Christ. Pray for the awareness and grace to live each day as someone who has been made new.
