Mark 16:2-4Verse of the Day
“Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they went to the tomb. On the way they were asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside.”Mark 16:2-4 (NKJV)
Happy Easter!
As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and the victory it represents, there’s something else worth noticing in this story.
Very early that morning, Mary and Mary Magdalene went to the tomb. Jesus had spoken about rising again, yet they still came expecting to find Him in the tomb. On their way, they had a real concern—who will roll away the stone? But they kept going anyway.
When they arrived, the problem they had worried about was already solved. The stone had been rolled away.
This could have turned out a foolish decision if they got there and the stone was still in place. But miracles usually happen when we're foolish enough to believe.
We spend time worrying about obstacles we cannot move. We try to figure everything out before we act. But sometimes, God is waiting for us to move first. Not because we have it all figured out, but because we trust Him enough to take the step.
To others, it may look foolish. Going forward without a clear solution doesn’t make sense by human standards. But God often works through what seems foolish to reveal His power.
If you’re facing something that feels too big for you, don’t let it stop you from moving. Take the step you can take. Trust God with what you cannot handle.
When you get there, you'll find the the stone has already been rolled away.
