;Verse of the Day
“If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth.”
Ecclesiastes 11:3 (NKJV)
Words can hang over your life like clouds. At first, they may seem small and harmless, but repeated words gather weight. In time, what has been spoken again and again begins to shape your thoughts, your expectations, your prayers, and your actions. When the clouds become full, they release what they have been carrying.
What words are you speaking concerning yourself? Are they filled with faith, or filled with fear? Words such as, “Nothing will ever change,” “I will always fail,” or “There is no hope for me” can keep your heart fixed on defeat. Fear-filled words do not prepare you to trust God. They keep rehearsing what could go wrong.
Faith-filled words are different. They do not deny reality, and they are not empty positive statements. They agree with what God has said. You can say, “God is with me,” “His grace is sufficient,” “He will give me wisdom,” and “His purpose will stand.” These words turn your attention away from fear and back toward the faithfulness of God.
says that God’s Word is like rain that comes down from heaven and produces fruit. His Word does not return empty. It accomplishes the purpose for which He sends it. When you pray in agreement with Scripture, you are filling your heart and your atmosphere with truth. You are building clouds of faith while you wait for God’s will to be revealed in His time.

This does not mean that words are magic or that every desire will happen simply because you speak it. The power belongs to God, and His Word fulfills His purpose. Your part is to stop agreeing with fear and begin agreeing with Him. Fill your prayers with Scripture. Speak His promises over your mind, your family, your work, and your future. Keep filling the clouds with faith, and trust God for the rain.
