1 Corinthians 9:24-27Verse of the Day
“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”1 Corinthians 9:24 (KJV)
Discipline shapes the direction of your life. Small daily choices matter. What you give your attention to, what you allow, what you practice, and what you refuse all have a way of forming your heart.
Paul compares the Christian life to a race. He is not teaching that you earn God’s love by effort. He is showing that following Christ calls for focus, self-control, and purpose. Grace does not make discipline unnecessary. Grace teaches you to live wisely.
Today, choose one area where you need to be more faithful. It may be prayer, Scripture, your words, your time, or your habits. Ask God for strength to be steady.
