Verse of the Day
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.”
Jeremiah 17:7 (NKJV)
But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.
Trusting God should be easy. He’s the all-powerful, all-knowing and ever-present God. He’s able to do far above what our minds can conceive. Not only that, He’s spared no expense to demonstrate and communicate His love for us. So, trusting Him should come easily.
The reality, however, is that it requires faith to trust God.
In the face of daunting situations, it will take more than head knowledge or logic to trust God completely. But trusting God comes with benefits. Our humanity limits the scope of what we know and can do. By trusting God, we are able to engage the supernatural and get timely intervention in our situation.
