Proverbs 19:21Verse of the Day
“There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless, the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.”Proverbs 19:21 (NKJV)
The heart of man is full of plans. Long-term, short-term and immediate plans. Some are fully thought-out, some are half-baked. Some people plan to just wing it, flowing with the tide. Regardless of where you are with your plans, one thing is sure — God’s purpose will stand.
The word “Nevertheless” is key here. Some more common synonyms include: regardless, in spite of and notwithstanding. Meaning that you can have your plans, but know that God will do what he intends, regardless. It is wisdom, therefore, to align our plans with God’s plan to guarantee success.
As we begin the journey into 2026, let this guide your heart and mind.
