Proverbs 18:10Verse of the Day
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”Proverbs 18:10 (NKJV)
In ancient Israel, there were cities and structures built as places of refuge. Towers, in particular, were reinforced buildings designed to provide safety during attacks and natural disasters. When danger came, people ran into these towers for protection.
Today, towers are not always physical structures. They are systems. Bank accounts. Savings. Investments. Networks. Connections. These are the places many people run to in times of trouble, hoping they will provide security and peace.
But every human-built tower has its limits. Economies fail, systems collapse, and trusted allies can disappoint. Even the strongest structures can fail.
The name of the Lord is a strong tower that cannot fail. It can keep you safe in every storm, every attack, and every season of uncertainty. Those who run to Him are not disappointed.
When trouble comes, where do you run? Run to the Lord. He is the only refuge that never fails, and the only security that is truly assured.
