2 Corinthians 12:9Verse of the Day
“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)
Weakness is something we often try to hide or avoid because we see it as a problem to fix rather than a place where God can show his might. We pray for it to disappear, assuming that strength means having no limits or struggles.
Paul also wanted his weakness removed, but God chose instead to reveal His grace through it. God did not take away the weakness, instead, He showed him the perfect strength that comes from dependence on God’s grace rather than self-reliance or control.
God’s power becomes most visible when we stop pretending to be strong and acknowledge our limits before Him. In those moments, weakness becomes an opportunity for God to display his power.
This is an invitation to see your shortcomings as an opportunity to glorify God. He chose Moses, who had speech difficulties, as His messenger; he called Gideon, who was the least in his family, clan, and tribe, a man of valour, and chose him to deliver Israel. He’s chosen you, yes, you, to do good works.
Allow God work through your weakness to produce perfect strength.
