Joshua 1:9Verse of the Day
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”Joshua 1:9 (NKJV)
Every assignment from God requires strength and courage. Fulfilling your purpose will stretch you beyond comfort and familiarity. It will demand faith, obedience, and perseverance.
When Joshua took over from Moses, he stepped into a role filled with pressure and expectation. Moses had led Israel out of Egypt and through the wilderness. Now Joshua had to lead them into the promised land. The task was significant, and fear could easily have taken hold.
That is why God commanded him to be strong and courageous, because the journey would be challenging. He needed strength and had to be courageous.
The same is true for us. When God calls you to step into new territory, fear can surface. The responsibility can feel heavy. The outcome may seem uncertain. But you were never meant to carry the assignment alone.
God’s promise to Joshua still stands for us today. He is with you wherever you go. His presence is the reason you can move forward with confidence. Strength and courage do not come from ignoring fear; they come from trusting that God walks with you every step of the way.
