Proverbs 11:24Verse of the Day
“There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.”Proverbs 11:24 (NKJV)
God’s ways don’t always align with human logic. By natural thinking, you increase by holding on—save more, keep more, protect what you have. But in God’s Kingdom, the path to increase is through giving.
When you give, you are saying, “God is my source.” You are trusting that what you release is not lost, and that God is able to provide again and again. It shifts your focus from scarcity to trust.
But when you hold back out of fear, it reveals something else—a struggle to trust that God will take care of you.
God calls us to be generous, not careless, but willing. To be good stewards who don’t cling tightly to what we have, but use it to bless others.
Increase, God’s way, flows through open hands.
The more you trust Him, the more freely you can give. And the more freely you give, the more you position yourself to receive what only He can provide.
Are there areas where you find yourself holding back out of fear? Ask God to help you trust Him as your source. Pray for a generous heart and the wisdom to give in a way that honours Him and blesses others.
