Romans 12:18Verse of the Day
“Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.”Romans 12:18 (NKJV)
Relationships can sometimes be complicated. Differences in opinions, misunderstandings, and offenses are part of human interaction. Even with the best intentions, conflicts can arise between people.
When situations like this happen, the natural response is often to defend ourselves, prove a point, or withdraw completely. Sometimes pride, anger, or hurt can make reconciliation feel difficult.
But Scripture encourages us to take a different approach. We are instructed to do all that we can to live in peace with everyone. This reveals that peace is something we must intentionally pursue. It requires humility, patience, and a willingness to let go of unnecessary conflicts.
At the same time, the verse acknowledges that peace does not always depend entirely on us. It says, “if it is possible.” This reminds us that while we cannot control the actions or attitudes of others, we are responsible for our own response.
Today, make peace your priority. As much as it depends on you, choose words and actions that promote understanding and unity. A peaceful heart creates space for healthier relationships and reflects the heart of God.
Is there a relationship where you need to pursue peace?
Ask God to give you the wisdom and humility to do your part in maintaining peace with others. Pray for grace to respond with patience, kindness, and understanding.

Reflection
As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect His character in the way we relate with people. Choosing peace does not mean ignoring truth or allowing wrongdoing. It means doing our part to maintain harmony, showing kindness, and avoiding actions that fuel unnecessary conflict.
