Romans 13:8Verse of the Day
““Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.””Romans 13:8 (NKJV)
We have a duty to love. God expects us to show love to our neighbors — and our neighbor is anyone we come in contact with. Not just family, friends or people who agree with us.
It is easy to love your own. Even cruel people protect and care for those close to them. That does not make us different. What sets us apart is loving those who may not deserve it.
And the truth is this: everyone deserves love because every human being carries the image of God. Every person is an expression of Him.
But loving this way is not natural. It requires grace. It requires God to soften our hearts and help us respond differently.
So today, ask for grace.
Grace to forgive.
Grace to overlook.
Grace to love beyond what feels fair.
That is how we let love lead.
