Deuteronomy 31:8Verse of the Day
“And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”Deuteronomy 31:8 (NKJV)
Have you ever gone on a trip to an unfamiliar destination alongside someone who has been there before? There's a kind of assurance that you'd have. You're not worried about missing a turn or getting lost.
This is what is described in our verse for today. The Lord has gone ahead of us, he knows the way and even though the journey might be unfamiliar territory for us, we can rest assured in him.
God does not merely walk beside you; He goes before you. That means He is already present in the future you are worried about, preparing the way and ordering events according to His purpose.
Because He goes before you, all fear should disappear. Don't allow discouragement to take root. God’s presence is constant, and His faithfulness does not depend on how confident you feel.
As you move forward, hold on to this assurance. God is ahead of you, with you, and committed to you. You can walk forward with courage, knowing He will not abandon you.
