1 Timothy 6:20-21Verse of the Day
“Timothy, guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge. Some people have wandered from the faith by following such foolishness. May God’s grace be with you all.”1 Timothy 6:20-21 (NKJV)
Not everything deserves your attention. Paul’s instruction to Timothy is clear and urgent: guard what God has entrusted to you.
What has been entrusted to you is not small. Your faith. Your convictions. The truth of God’s Word. The calling on your life. These are treasures that must be protected, not treated casually.
Paul also warns about distractions disguised as knowledge. Arguments, endless debates, and ideas that sound intelligent but pull you away from the truth can slowly weaken your grip on what matters most. Some people did not drift away suddenly; they wandered by repeatedly entertaining what opposed their faith.
Guarding your faith means being selective about what shapes your thinking. It means refusing conversations that erode conviction and choosing instead what strengthens your walk with God.
As you hold firmly to what God has placed in your care, rely on His grace. His grace not only saves you; it sustains you.
