James 1:17Verse of the Day
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”James 1:17 (NKJV)
God is a good Father, and like every good father, He gives good gifts to His children.
Everything that comes from God carries His nature. It is good, intentional and perfect. Not perfect by our standards, but by his standards; perfect for you and for what He is working out in your life.
That’s why James reminds us that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. You can trust that whatever He places in your hands is what you need for this season, even when it’s not what you wanted.
A good Father knows the difference between what a child asks for and what the child truly needs. God’s gifts may stretch you, shape you, or slow you down, but they are always purposeful.
You can trust Him. What He gives is always good. And what He withholds is just as intentional.
