Matthew 6:31-33Verse of the Day
““So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”Matthew 6:31-33 (NLT)
Worry often begins with basic questions about provision and security. What does tomorrow hold? Will I have enough? How will things work out? Jesus addresses these everyday concerns directly and reminds us that anxiety should not dominate the life of a believer.
Your heavenly Father already knows what you need. He is not unaware of your responsibilities, your bills, your goals, or your pressures. His knowledge of your needs is personal and complete. He knows what you need before you are aware of that need. When you pray, you’re not informing Him of something new; you’re casting your cares on him.
Jesus shifts the focus from worrying about provision to prioritising God’s Kingdom. When you place God first and choose to live according to His ways, you are aligning your life with His purpose.
This is meant to set us free from anxious striving. You pursue God wholeheartedly, and you trust Him to supply what is necessary for the life He has called you to live.
Today, let go of the pressure to control everything. Seek Him first, and trust that your Father knows exactly what you need.
