Isaiah 41:10Verse of the Day
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)
All through the Bible, there are numerous instances where we're encouraged or instructed to “fear not”. I believe that it's because we'll always have reasons to be afraid. There's always something that can trigger fear, if you let it.
Today's verse reminds us that God is with us so we shouldn't be afraid. Note that it doesn't say everything will go smoothly or nothing bad will happen. No! His promises to us are that he'll be with us, he'll be our God, He'll strengthen and help us and He'll hold us up with His victorious right hand.
The instruction to not be afraid stems from the fact that God is always with us, even in the valley of the shadow of death. The situation doesn't need to get better for fear to leave. No! Fear leaves when we focus on who is for us and not what is against us.
Say it out loud to yourself, “God is with me, I will never be afraid!”
