Matthew 6:11Verse of the Day
“Give us this day our daily bread.”Matthew 6:11 (NKJV)
Bread represents food, which is necessary for the sustenance of life—any kind of life. Without food, an organism cannot function optimally. Every living thing will eventually die if deprived of food for a long period.
The same is true for our souls. The food of the soul is the Word of God. We need a daily dose of the Word for our souls to function as God intended. Just as you get hungry in the morning, even though you ate the night before, your soul is hungry for a fresh Word each day.
Many Christians are barely surviving on a once-a-week dose, which is sometimes not properly digested. Some are feeding on crumbs. This is why they find it difficult to live for God or to stand strong in the face of life’s challenges.
The Father is calling you to have a rich meal today. Don’t ignore Him. Sit with the Word today.
If you are trusting God for physical bread, you are not left out. I pray that you will receive supernatural provision for today and beyond, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
