2 Corinthians 5:16-17Verse of the Day
“So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time, we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”2 Corinthians 5:16-17 (NKJV)
The salvation experience is the most powerful and significant thing that can happen in a person’s life. Scripture describes it as new life and total transformation. Yet from a human point of view, not much may seem different at first. The same face, the same voice, the same personality traits may still be there. But something far deeper has changed.
This is why we must no longer evaluate people from a human point of view. That includes how we see ourselves. If you are in Christ, you cannot keep measuring your present reality by your past identity. That old life is gone!
Whatever limitations, failures, weaknesses, or labels defined the old you no longer have authority over you. They belong to a life that has passed away.
You must now see yourself through the lens of Christ. You are a new creation, the righteousness of God, a child of God, and a joint-heir with Christ. This is not wishful thinking. This is your new reality.
