Verse of the Day
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)
The goal of the Christian faith is transformation into the image of Christ. This transformation happens as we continually behold the glory of the Lord. You become what you continually look at. If your attention is constantly fixed on the values of the world, those values will begin to shape your thinking. If you spend your time admiring pride, selfish ambition, revenge, impurity, or status, those patterns can quietly enter your heart. But as you keep looking to Christ, His humility, holiness, love, obedience, and compassion begin to shape you.
This change is continuous and persistent from one degree to another until we come to the fulness of the image of Christ.
Keep your gaze fixed on Jesus. Devote yourself to His Word. Follow His guidance. Surrender every part of your life to Him. As you do, a change is taking place within you, even when it is not immediately visible.
You become more like Christ by continuing to look at Christ.
